Apply for a sponsored tour of EU food research institutes

Applicants are invited to apply for an opportunity to participate in a tour of food research institutes in Europe, sponsored and organised through the European Commission’s ACCESS4EU programme.
The Access4EU-NZ project offers the possibility for selected New Zealand delegates to participate in a promotion tour through Europe in February 2013. The task of the delegation is to promote opportunities for collaboration in research and innovation with New Zealand, to strengthen existing and to stimulate new collaboration with European research organisations and innovation partners. The overall interdisciplinary theme of the tour is on food/health, while the specific topics are:
Food for health, efficacy testing and biomarkers (medical foods);
Food processing, novel processing technologies for generating new products;
Food integrity e.g. traceability, safety, anti-tampering;
Minimizing food wastage at all stages of the food value chain.
